Green Lantern International
Green Lantern International began as a student-led initiative in South Korea ;
—but quickly grew into a global movement building spaces where stories spark futures.
Through grassroots chapters and global partnerships,
we fund and construct real libraries in underserved communities,
filled with beautifully crafted, culturally rich storybooks.
Each book is translated, illustrated,
and paired with audio and educational content
—designed to not only teach, but to ignite imagination.
Because we believe that stories change lives.
That a single book can light the way out of darkness.
And that every child deserves the chance to dream bigger.
First, we publish books,
We help translate, illustrate, and publish children’s books rooted in cultural folktales. Each book includes ISBN registration and bilingual editions when possible
Then, we build libraries.
From bamboo huts in rural villages to solar-powered bookmobiles, our library projects are tailored to local needs and built with community input.
Founder’s Story
I was just a kid when I first fell in love with stories. They made me feel seen. They made me think. They made me dream of a life beyond what I knew—and that dream changed everything.
That’s why I started Green Lantern International.
I wanted to bring that spark to every child who’s ever felt small, stuck, or invisible. These books aren’t just pages and pictures. They are bridges—between cultures, between people, between who you are and who you could be. Every library we build, every story we share, is a promise.
You matter. Your story matters.
And the world is so much bigger than you think.
